Rhodes Recreation Centre Opening 20 October 2025
The City of Canada Bay is proud to announce the official opening of the Rhodes Recreation Centre on Monday, 20 October 2025, at 6 Gauthorpe Street, Rhodes.
The gym will welcome its first members from 5:30am, while the community lounge, café, and other facilities will open from 9am. View specific facility opening hours.

World-Class facilities for the whole community
Rhodes Recreation Centre has been designed to support our growing community with modern, accessible, and flexible spaces. Facilities include:
- A state-of-the-art gym with crèche and group fitness studios
- Sprung-floor indoor sports courts for badminton, pickleball, basketball and more
- A brand-new Gymnastics Centre tailored to the local Rhodes community (opening in line with the 2026 school year)
- A welcoming community lounge and café
- The Canvas multipurpose venue for workshops, classes, and community gatherings
- A high-quality Early Learning Centre (opening 2026)
- Allied health tenancies, opening progressively
Easy to access
Located in the heart of the Rhodes peninsula, the Centre is just a five-minute walk from Rhodes Train Station, with excellent public transport connections.
For those driving, basement visitor parking is available via the Gauthorpe Street entrance.
