The City of Canada Bay’s $80 million Rhodes Recreation Centre will deliver world-class facilities for the whole community. Located at 6 Gauthorpe Street, in the heart of Rhodes, the 9,200 m² centre has been designed as a vibrant, inclusive hub for everyone to enjoy. It will bring together fitness, early learning, allied health and public spaces all under one roof — including a brand-new gym and crèche, indoor sports courts, gymnastics centre, an early learning centre, community lounge, café and more.
As one of Sydney’s fastest-growing communities, we are committed to investing in the future of Rhodes through vibrant and accessible recreation facilities, community spaces, and streetscapes. Rhodes Recreation Centre will meet the needs of our growing community for years to come.
Facilities
The Centre will feature a state-of-the-art gym with a crèche and group fitness studios, indoor sports courts, a gymnastics centre, community lounge and café, The Canvas multi-purpose venue, allied health tenancies, and a high-quality Early Learning Centre to open in line with the 2026 school year.
Located in the heart of Rhodes
Positioned at the heart of the Rhodes peninsula, the Centre is just a five-minute walk from Rhodes Station and close to public transport. For those driving, basement visitor parking will be available via Gauthorpe Street.
