Why gymnastics?
Our gymnastics programs focus on providing a safe and fun environment for children and adults to develop coordination, strength, flexibility, balance, speed, and discipline. Gymnastics is known for being one of the best activities to help young children develop fundamental skills in coordination, movement and balance.
We have recreational programs for boys and girls of all age groups including:
Morning classes:
- Play gym (Walking–2.5 years)
- Mini gym (2.5–4 years)
- Junior gym (4–5 years)
After School:
- Foundations A (5-8 years)
- Foundations B (9-11 years)
Our programs
Play Gym is a guardian assisted class designed for children from walking to 2.5 years of age. Play Gym is a program designed to develop balance, fine and gross motor skills, which leads to developing confidence and co-ordination in a safe, structured, multi-sensory environment. As a result, social skills and integration with other children and play activities are enhanced. This class is 45 minutes in length and involves free play, music, games and 2 gymnastics circuits.
Mini Gym is a guardian assisted class which is designed for children from 2.5 to 4 years of age. Mini Gym is a program designed to develop children socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically, in a safe, structured, multi-sensory environment. Mini Gym provides the opportunity for children to experience a wide range of physical activities, which leads to developing confidence and co-ordination. This class is 45 minutes in length and involves free play, music, games and 2 gymnastics circuits.
Junior Gym is a structured class that is a progression from Mini Gym and is suited for children from 4 to 5 years of age. With no parent supervision, the class encourages children to discover their own abilities in a gymnastics environment. Using music and gymnastic equipment, the children learn to interact with others socially and develop their skills and physical strengths. This class is 45 minutes in length.
Foundations is a skill and development level-based program. It is designed to help develop children physically and mentally as they learn the fundamentals of gymnastics movement, co-ordination, strength, balance, and gross motor skills.
