We’re excited to share that a brand new 70-place early learning centre is on the way for our growing Rhodes community. It will be located inside the Rhodes Recreation Centre, just a short walk from Rhodes Train Station, and is planned to open in time for the 2026 school year.

Overview

This purpose-built centre will give local families access to high-quality early childhood education and care. With bright indoor learning spaces and fun outdoor play areas, the centre is designed to support children’s growth, development and wellbeing.

As part of the wider Rhodes Recreation Centre — the City of Canada Bay’s $80 million community facility — the new centre will play an important role in supporting our growing community.

  • Purpose-built spaces: Rooms designed for different age groups, each with direct access to outdoor play.
  • Community connection: Part of Rhodes Recreation Centre, alongside sports courts, a gym, gymnastics, community spaces and a café.
  • Easy to reach: Less than five minutes from Rhodes Train Station with convenient basement parking.
  • September 2025: Finalising design and approvals
  • Late 2025: Construction fit-out begins
  • Term 1, 2026: Planned opening (subject to weather and site conditions)
